Kitsap Fix-it Fair – Free Community Event
Do you have something broken at home? Bring it to a Fix-It Fair! Instead of throwing it away, see if it can be repaired. This free community event helps reduce waste by extending the life of household items through repair rather than replacement. Join us on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bremerton - Sylvan Way Kitsap Regional Library, 1301 Sylvan Way, Bremerton. Hosted by the Solid Waste Division in partnership with the Bremerton - Sylvan Way Kitsap Regional Library, the event connects community members with skilled volunteer fixers who will attempt to repair items while sharing practical repair tips and techniques. Kitsap residents can bring up to two items for volunteer fixers to assess and attempt repairs. Popular items include: • Lamps and small appliances • Vacuums • Small electronics • Clothing and textiles What not to bring: • No large appliances • No appliances with refrigerants • No items that are leaking fluids • No items having noxious or excessive odors • No microwaves • No items filled with oil or gas • No grimy, dirty, or hazardous items • No oversized items Please note: • Items must be carried in and out by the owner • Repairs are not guaranteed some may take longer than event time allows or even break during attempts. • Participants must check-in 30 minutes prior to the end time of the event.
